This is a ride/event to help support Jaxson and Madison Johnson, who were both diagnosed with SMA type 1. Jaxson is on permanent life support with a trach and feeding tube. He has been in the hospital 18 times in his 1st year of life.
When Madison was born she spent several days in the NICU. She has been approved for the only medication that is FDA approved for SMA. Each dose she receives requires her to be in the hospital overnight.
