Come out and RIDE and then PLAY BALL with the special needs children of The Moody Miracle League!!!
As many of you know, I try to help this league when I have the time. It is a special baseball league for some very special people, most of them kids, but several speical needs adults as well. The games are played on a special matted field, no grass, and a smaller field than other leagues. It gives this group of people a place to have fun and compete. Everyone gets to play, gets to bat and no such thing as an out. Everyone is a winner!
This ride will begin at Jack’s in Moody and will end at the Moody Miracle League ball park with the bikes circling the outfield fence and then pulling into the pavillion area where we will get to meet and greet the Miracle League players. Details are still being discussed, but as of now, there will be 2 games played in which us bikers will take the field and assist the players in whatever they may need, including helping them run bases, field balls and when a power hitter gets to bat, we will cover them so they don’t get injured.
The kicker is, you will need to bring a pair of tennis or solf soled shoes with you. Hard soles are not allowed on the field.
And, YOU DON’T have to play. You can take the stands and encourage the players. Us bikers are good about making noise. ?
There are some great concessions available with a portion of the proceeds going to The Moody Miracle League, and ALL proceeds from the ride will go to the league for them to use for much needed field repairs.
Registration: 8:00 AM at Jack’s in Moody
KSU: 9:30 AM
Fee: $20 per bike, $5.00 for passenger
Door prizes and 50/50 drawing
Concessions will be open.
Arrive at the ball field around 1:30 PM and event should be over by 5:00 PM.
The Moody Miracle League is a non-profit and operated pretty much soley on donations and merchandise sales.
